Jesus is looking at you today, and He is saying, “Go and preach. Go and tell the good news. Go and share My gospel.” But you know what? Most people struggle with looking at everybody else and saying that they need to go, they need to preach, they need to share. No. God’s looking at you. He’s calling you.
Have you ever been discouraged? You didn’t feel like getting out of bed. You didn’t feel like going to work. You just wanted to throw in the towel. You thought, I just don’t want to do this anymore! Well, today I want to talk to you about how to overcome discouragement.
I have a question for you today: Is life working for you? Or does it feel like life is just falling apart? Maybe your boyfriend left you, you got laid off, and your bank account got hacked. Well, even if that’s the case, I’m going to give you three short steps to turn things around so life can start working for you.
I am a woman preacher. I minister the gospel from behind the pulpit, but I still encounter people who challenge me on what a woman can do. The main scripture that they use is 1 Corinthians 14, where Paul says that women should keep silent in church. I think it’s really interesting when they use that scripture because it lets me know that they don’t understand what Paul was saying.
Are you tired of you? I’ve been there. I’ve found myself in a rut and realized I needed to change. It wasn’t always easy to get unstuck, but it was easy to accept the rewards on the other side of becoming a new “me.” Here are three practical steps that I discovered to becoming a new you.
We live in a day and age where Christians are under attack. In some nations, like Pakistan, that attack is tangible and believers’ lives are on the line. In America, the attack is more spiritual than anything. The enemy has come to sift us like wheat, and we are seeing a great falling away as a result.
Ephesians 6 talks about putting on the whole armor of God. It begins in verse 10, “Finally, be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.” The word “power” means “dominion” or “sovereignty.” Many people can’t control smoking, drinking alcohol, using drugs, or making bad habits because these things have dominion over them. If you don’t take dominion, things will rule over you.
Sometimes, because of our doubts and fears, it seems as if our desires have gone to the wind. Our hopes are on edge. We’re waiting to be whoever we’re designed to be, as if we have to go through some metamorphoses before we arrive. But the truth of the matter is you are already who He says you are!
